NEW EXHIBITION: “THE LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE OF HARE & HARE”
The father-and-son team of Sidney J. and S. Herbert Hare planned dozens of parks, residential grounds, and cities throughout the Midwest and beyond. A new exhibition at Ellis Library, University of Missouri, organized by LALH author Carol Grove, celebrates the significance of the Kansas-city based firm with material from the manuscript collection of the State Historical Society of Missouri, Kansas City Research Center. Hare and Hare is the subject of a forthcoming LALH book by Grove, who is University of Missouri adjunct assistant professor of American Art and Architecture, and Cydney Millstein.
The exhibition runs until Dec. 23, 2016. Tuesday–Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. (Saturdays, 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.). Grove will lead a tour Saturday, August 27 at 1:30 p.m.
