LALH, UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA PRESS TO PUBLISH SERIES TOGETHER
Wednesday, November 12, 2014 | Posted by lalh
LALH is pleased to announce a new publishing partnership with University of Georgia Press, in Athens, Ga., which will be home to the LALH Critical Studies in the History of Environmental Design series. According to UGA Press director Lisa Bayer, “This relationship is a natural outgrowth of the Press’s strong list in natural history and the environment, originating with the Wormsloe Foundation series established by the family of Craig Barrow III, the LALH 2014 Preservation Hero and chair of the UGA Press Advisory Council.”

Robin Karson, executive director of LALH, also sees a strong alliance in the collaboration. “We look forward to a partnership that builds on UGA’s publications on the environment and LALH’s growing commitment to scholarship in the field.” Series editor and LALH president, Daniel J. Nadenicek, dean of the College of Environment and Design at Georgia writes, “Because of the absolute necessity of sustainable living in the future, the new series is particularly timely. Its goal is to foster a cross-disciplinary dialogue about the relationship of humans to nature, influencing the decisions we make and the places we design today.”
