LALH EXHIBITION FEATURED IN THE PARIS REVIEW
Tuesday, January 20, 2015 | Posted by lalh
The latest LALH exhibition, 100 Years of Design on the Land, was featured in the Paris Review on December 15th, the day it opened at 1285 Avenue of the Americas Art Gallery in New York City. Jonathan Lippincott’s interview of photographer Carol Betsch not only explores LALH’s mission of educating the public in landscape history and design but also the special challenges of capturing the essence of a place on film. Betsch describes her passion for photographing landscapes and how she has adjusted her approach over time, as technology has advanced and images have become even more important tools of communication.

100 Years of Design on the Land tells the story of ten American landscapes that are particularly significant to the history of landscape design. Through historical images and contemporary photographs by Betsch and Andy Olenick, LALH offers visitors the opportunity to experience landscapes in the center of New York City. The exhibition is free to the public and will be open until March 6, 2015.
