LALH has launched a research project to recover information about the career of Warren Henry Manning (1860–1938), an important early landscape architect who worked in almost every state in America.

Because most of Manning’s professional papers were destroyed, his work has been a challenge to locate, study, interpret, and preserve. The new LALH initiative aims at recovering information about Manning’s “lost” landscapes so that it can be made available to communities everywhere.

Read more about Warren H. Manning and how LALH plans to rescue his landscape legacy.
